Volume 1, No. 1 of the Ann Arbor Masonic News came out on March 15, 1943. La Verne C. Rose of Golden Rule Lodge was the editor and A. Almus Hale was as business manager. The first issue carried news of the Chapter, Council and Commandery only, but succeeding issues brought in Golden Rule and Fraternity Lodge 262. In 1970 this paper carries the headings of ten different Masonic bodies and was reports news from several Masonic clubs as well. Today 2006 this excellent publication has prospered and has done much for Masons in Washtenaw area to keep them abreast of fraternal activities and give them a sense of Masonic unity amid the multiplicity of lodges, affiliated bodies and clubs |
